Jay Robinson
I was born in Ontario, and spent my formative years in Nova Scotia. I became deeply interested in music and psychedelic art in high school. I studied philosophy, linguistics, and religion in university. I've explored and lived through the Rocky Mountains, the Okanagan Valley, Scotland, the Bahamas, Northern California, Vancouver Island, and Montréal. Working on farms in Scotland I found passions in mysticism and communal living. In Montréal I began tutelage in the tradition of classical Indian Hindustani tabla. My study continues independently today.
My intention is that the experience of my art and music is such that the medium, the participant, and the environment in which they relate, are all felt as a spontaneous living community.
I am now living semi-nomadically, anywhere among the Alberta Rockies and the Kootenay reigion in BC.
